To blurr out any eyeliner imperfections, set liner with a black eyeshadow. Not only will it help smooth out your liner but will also make it last longer.

  • If you could only buy makeup from one store for the rest of your life, which store would you choose and why?

I would have to choose Ulta because they have both drugstore and highend brands available. I also very much enjoy their reward/point system.

  • Who is your biggest makeup/fashion/beauty idol?

I don’t have an idol. Sorry

  • If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and what’s the first thing you’d do there?

I would go to Paris and the first thing I would do is have a picnic with my husband in front of the Eiffel Tower.

  • Do you prefer Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring fashion?

Fall

  • If you started your own line of makeup, what would be the first item you came out with?

An eyeshadow palette

  • What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery?

Take a very a 12 month vacation, lol.

  • What are the top two products on your makeup wish list?

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer & Tarte Blush in Exposed

  • What is your favorite Drugstore makeup brand?

I don’t have a favorite drugstore brand.

  • How do you care for your skin?

I have a very simple skin care routine. I cleanse my skin with Simple Micellar Water with a cotton pad every morning and night.I use Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer every morning and apply Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital eye cream. I exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub 3x a week and use a facial mask once in a while, depending on my skin’s needs. Quick Review: Cucumber Gel Mask

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask.

Claims:

•Refreshing •Cooling •Moisturizing •Calming gel helps soothe dry, irritated skin with extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar, maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, aloe •For all Skin Types

Directions:

Apply a generous coat on clean skin. Rinse after 10 minutes with cool water. Use 2-3 times a week or daily.

Review:

This is a lightweight gel mask that is very refreshing and cooling the second I apply it to my face. It’s gentle enough to use daily but I only use it once a week. Once I remove the mask my skin feels very smooth and hydrated and ready for makeup application.  It is very pricey, $52.00 for 5.0 oz but I have been using a sample size of 0.5 fl oz and so far I have been able to get about 5 uses out of it and I’m not half way done with it, a little goes a long way.  I’m very happy with the results of this mask. I will purchase the full size. You can find Peter Thomas Roth masks at: Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Peter Thomas Roth website.

Have you tried any of the Peter Thomas Roth? If so, what are your thoughts? Have you tried this cucumber mask? Any recommendations for a cheaper alternative?

Bite Beauty: Agave Lip Mask (Review)

Do you need a moisture boost? Agave lip mask may be able to provide you that! They’re 3 options to chose from:

  • Original, clear (Google image)

  • Champagne a rose gold pearl. (Google image)
  •  Smashed a red-wine tint. (Google image)

I have been using this agave original mask for over a month and I actually have seen and felt a difference in my lips. I use it about twice a day. My favorite time to apply it is before bed because I wake up with smooth, soft and hydrated lips, it’s pretty amazing. When I apply it in the morning I am able to see a plumping effect though out the day while having it on. It does not have a sticky feel. The mask does last on your lips for several hours and doesn’t move around. The texture is extremely thick almost waxy but with the warmth of your finger while application it melts and spreads beautifully. It has a soft sweet vanilla scent which I love. The scent does last a while so if you dislike vanilla scented products you may not enjoy it as much. The price for this mask is $26.00 for 0.52 oz but because of it’s rich formula all you need is a pea size amount. It comes in a squeeze tube, you do need to apply pressure to squeeze product out, just be careful not to take out too much.

Shea Butter + Oatmeal Body Wash

During the cold winter months I have suffered from dry itchy skin. Happy to say that this Target Up&Up body wash really made a difference on my skin.

  Claims:

  • Compares to St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Wash : I find the Up&Up more lightweight therefore prefer this one over the St. Ives.
  • Gently Cleanses and Moisturize skin: my skin did not get irritated after use and I did not find the need to apply lotion after the shower. My skin felt great throughout the day.
  • Light-moisturizing formula helps soothe and pamper dry skin: because this body wash does not contain any strong fragrance my skin feels a lot more comfortable and not at all itchy.

Conclusion:

I am extremely satisfied with the results this body wash has given me. My husband has acne prone skin and has recently started using this, he also has seen how soothing his skin has felt after using this product. I can’t believe how amazing this body wash is, great price (less than $3.00 at Target) and amazing quality! I sure will be using this product year round!

MOTD: Fun-Day!

Happy Sunday everyone. Today I decided to share with you my makeup of the day.  I recently purchased Kat Von D holiday palette and decided to try one of the three looks that come with the palette for inspiration. As I mentioned before, I don’t really use vibrant eyeshadow colors. The look that I recreated is a purple eyelook with PINK ON THE CREASE! I am very happy with how it turned out! The shadows were easy to blend, and I did not have to worry about any fall out!!

For my look today I used:

-Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

-Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid Foundation (shade 3.5) : I like this foundation because it is very lightweight and gives me a natural look. It is not full coverage, therefore it just neutralizes my skin and gets rid of any redness.

-Maybelline instant age rewind concealer

-Laura Mercier translucent setting powder: to set my under eyes. I love this powder, it instantly brightens my under eyes!

-Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

-Bodyography Brow trio

-Chella eyebrow defining gel

-ColourPop lip liner in Lumiere

-Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix: Here is a picture of the look and also step by step on how to create it!

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! I had fun recreating this look and sharing it with you!

Deep-Pore Cleasing

I use this facial sauna kit to help open my pores and make it easier to get rid of any blackheads, any clogged pores.
I don’t use it as often but when I do it makes it less painful to get rid of blackheads.

All I have to do is add a bit of water to the base and connect the facial cone on top. Once I turn it on it takes about 2 minutes for the water to heat up and produce steam. I then place my face over the cone and let the steam hit my face for 15 minutes which is usually how long it takes for the water to to evaporate completely. I then use a stainless steel tool from the brand Trim, which you can find at Walmart, to start removing blackheads. You just place the the flat side of the tool over the blackhead and press slightly. The other side is the wire loop and that one is used to remove whiteheads. This tool has a texture grip that gives complete control.

After I am done I go ahead and rinse my face with luke water and apply a nourishing facial mask…

I then wash off the mask with cold water, apply toner and moisturizer. My face feels fresh and smooth after this little treatment.

I am really enjoying this facial sauna kit. It’s hassle free to use and set up and it gives my face a refreshing new start. If you are interested in this kit, it is sold at Ulta, Walmart, Amazon or Target for around $25.00.

How do u deep clean your face? What products do you use? I would love to hear your tips and recommendations!
